On this installment of Surge Radio, we're digging into the Friends of Gadsden Creek Counterproposal outlining a better path for Gadsden Creek and the residents of Gadsden Green, developed with the community as a resident-led vision.

Featuring intrepid FOGC organizers Seb Choe and Amron Lee on the mics and introducing, from Mika Gadsden, F-O-G-C Radio:

"Tune in to F-O-G-C Radio, live from Back da Green, where the static crackles, the dial turns, and the voices of resistance rise. This audio essay is a sonic collage, woven from excerpts of my old podcast episodes, field recordings, and interviews conducted by fellow organizer Brian Walter. Inspired by the political and social justice radio programming I grew up listening to during car rides to and from church, this piece recreates the experience of flipping through the airwaves, searching for truth.

Through layered sound design and storytelling, I channel the rich tradition of Black radio, with nods to Quiet Storm R&B shows and the grassroots spirit of community broadcast. As the signal fades in and out, you’ll hear the echoes of our fight to protect Gadsden Creek and the voices that refuse to be silenced."
